Our Necrontyr board so far...

2019-01-26 by David

Over the past few months we've been slowly releasing items for our Necrontyr terrain range, but this month was our first opportunity to assemble ALL the terrain on one table! So here's a photo dump for you.....

£ First of all, I'd better mention the totally over-the-top gaming room we have here at the club!! This loft was converted into a themed gaming room here about 10 years ago, and we use it for our monthly club events - it was themed after Games Workshop's Warhammer Fantasy setting, and is known as "The Dungeon" (follow the link for lots more pics and a build diary).

£ So, getting back to the terrain.... these were our test print models for the Necrontyr range, and were also used for our product photos. As such, they've got a black metal and very, VERY bright green colour scheme going, to match the fabulous gaming mat by FrontlineGaming.

£ On this 6x4 table we managed to fit in one of everything we make, although at some point I might go back and print more Modular Hills, so we can stack those step pyramids to two or even three levels!

£ Due to the sheer size of some of these terrain pieces, I was only able to fit in a few sections of TombCity Wall (in the foreground of this pic), alongside the imposing gatetower!

£ Pretty much all of the Necrontyr designs allow for LEDs to be used inside, and you can see some of this glowing through various pieces..... although I actually ran out of LEDs!!

£ Possibly the brightest piece is the ripple disc on the Warp Portal (center right).

You can also see the back of the dice tower section of the pyramid, so dice come bouncing out the front steps!

£ It was actually really hard to fit that enormous obelisk into the photos! It's really, really tall!

£ I used LEDs for the centre section of the obelisk too (on the right), and the dais of the Warp Portal

£ Even in this pretty well lit room, you can see the green marble in the smaller power generator (centre foreground) lights up remarkably well!

£ I'm afraid I keep using these objective markers as a set of 6, instead of, you know, actual objective markers!! They look great all gathered on the modular hill.

£ Finally, the last pic of the set - who would like to join us for a game?!
