The new expansion for the castle terrain is released today - the Samurai Castle Corner Tower is officially available for download today!
£ The corner tower is fully detailed and textured with Kumamoto castle's distinctive wooden panels, and roof tiles unique to castle structures.
£ Just as a reminder, this is the actual yagura corner tower from Kumamoto castle, as it looked before the devastating 2016 earthquake toppled the surrounding walls and left the tower without many of its solid foundations.
£ ... and this is the new 3D-printed version! This corner tower comes with the chunky base section included, so you can combine it with your other castle wall sections.
£ In this little diorama, we see a lone samurai on horseback charging at the castle guards, beneath the imposing corner tower. I wonder if more archers are about to rain arrows down from the murder holes and arrow slits?
£ As you can see, this tower is designed to fit neatly together with the castle walls, and has a small door on one side, for attackers to fight over!
£ Removing the top layers for gaming inside the tower is very simple, so your troops can fight over the fully detailed interior too! Here we see a ninja has managed to infiltrate the tower, perhaps using the attacking samurai outside as a mere distraction?
£ The staircase connects to the upper level of the tower, which is an optional build. If you're printing several corner towers, why not print a mix of single and double storey versions?
£ An eye-level view of the tower shows what a daunting structure this really is - imagine having to attack that!!
