Tokens and ruler printed!

The new printer is working away, although I'm just adding a self-leveling gizmo to help in the long run - please excuse the delay!

BUT I have managed to print out a couple of small items from the Necrontyr range - because I couldn't resist!! I just had to see how they'd print...

£Woo-hoo! The very first model from the Necrontyr range rolls off the printer! (phew)

£ Here it is after a quick tidy up with some 400 grade sandpaper, to remove the stringing and clean up the edges.

£ There was a scary moment when the end of the movement ruler started to lift up off the print bed (see? I said there was some tuning still to do!), but I managed to save it with a quick layer of masking tape!

I'll try laying it flat to the bed next time, instead of standing up.

£ And here we have a tidied up version, with the edges lightly smoothed down. This was a 0.2 layer print, so some of the lines are still visible. I think that if the ruler was printed flat instead, the final effect would be much smoother.

Anyway, I was happy to see that the engravings along the inner edges printed cleanly. Those will look good picked out in gold, I think.

So, on to the paint desk for those....
